CBeebies’ character appearances
Come and see some of your favourite CBeebies’ characters this Christmas with the SOT City Centre BID hosted at The Potteries Centre.
In an effort to bring festive cheer to families in the city centre this year, Stoke-on-Trent City Centre Business Improvement District (BID) is set to welcome CBeeBies’ characters to The Potteries Centre on various Saturdays in November and December.
Young families can enjoy personal appearances from their favourite children’s shows Fireman Sam and Norman Price, Moon and Me and Hey Duggee during intervals on Saturday 27 November, Saturday 4 December and Saturday 11 December, respectively – all for free!
On all three days, the characters will be making personal appearances at intervals between 11am and 4pm on each day in the lower mall of the shopping centre and attendees will be encouraged to bring their camera to capture the magic. (Please use the lower mall, Lamb Street entrance opposite TKMaxx).
Additionally, Elves Behaving Badly Tour comes to The Potteries Centre on November 20.
BID Manager Richard Buxton hopes the event will bring a new audience into the evolving city centre and believes it is a step in the right direction to the area becoming an attractive and engaging destination for families.
“We are delighted to bring special appearances from some of CBeeBies’ most popular TV shows to the city centre. We are working with Rainbow Productions – the UK’s official licensee of children’s characters – on the events, and are greatly confident in their ability
to deliver wonderful Christmas entertainment.
“We hope that events like this will encourage people to come out and explore their city centre a little more.
“And if my grandson is anything to go by, Fireman Sam, Moon and Me and Hey Duggee are sure to be very well received indeed by little ones!”
Amy Whittaker, General Manager of The Potteries Centre, is pleased that the venue is supporting the appearances:
“We’re excited at The Potteries Centre to be hosting these very special guests and look forward to welcoming families to the city centre as part of the celebrations in the run up to Christmas.
“The Potteries Centre will be decked out in twinkling lights and decorations, so we hope that families stay a while and shop with us at this magical time.”
Booking to attend an appearance is essential. Timeslots can be allocated per family or group of 6 (maximum) via Eventbrite and the BID asks that every effort is made to attend during the time slot chosen to avoid disappointment.
Tickets for all events will be available from Eventbrite at 12.00pm on Monday 15 November.
