School choir competition
It seems early to be talking the c word but we’ll be putting the decorations and tree up before we know it. So keep checking back for all the latest news including brand new decorations and exciting family event for Christmas 2021 at The Potteries Centre.
To get us in the festive spirit we’re launching a schools Christmas carol singing competition.
It’s safe to say last Christmas wasn’t the merriest for many of us and we’re all in need of some much-needed festive cheer.
Everyone knows that the nation’s favourite reindeer, Rudolph, has his own song, but we think Glitzen deserves one too.
We would like to challenge schools across Staffordshire and Cheshire to write a song for Glitzen, drawing inspiration from classics such as Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and other festive songs. Don’t worry if you aren’t able to pen a new song of your own, do feel free to just get a little creative with any existing Christmas songs instead, for example this could be just swapping Rudolph for Glitzen.
The winning school will then be invited to perform their song at a VIP event on Thursday the 18th November at 4.30pm. At the end of the evening, as an extra treat, each student will also receive a goody bag to take home. (maximum 20 students). A PA system, microphone and power supply are available).
Once your song is complete, please record your students performing the song and upload it using our google form by the 5th November.
The winners will be contacted from the following Wednesday – by the 10th November.
