LIDS now open
Hot on the heels of securing Europe’s biggest shoe retailer, Deichmann, The Potteries Centre
has revealed the latest addition to Stoke’s premier shopping and entertainment hub which will
arrive at the centre later this year.
The number one destination for hats, jerseys and collectibles, sports fans will find a range of
officially licenced athletic headwear and clothing for teams across all of the American sporting
leagues, including NFL, MLB, NHL and NBA, as well as the NCAA (National Collegiate
Athletic Association) and the MLS (Major League Soccer).
Taking its place on the middle mall, LIDS will further strengthen the centre’s sport and
athletics offering which already includes the official store for Stoke City F.C. merchandise,
charity sports retailer, Sports Traider, and high-street sports fashion brand, JD Sports.
Commenting on the signing of LIDS, Amy Whittaker, centre manager at The Potteries Centre,
said:
“I’m pleased to announce the latest tenant joining us at The Potteries Centre later this year;
the arrival of which is the culmination of our teams’ hard work over the past few months to
secure even more major high-street names. Since unveiling our news about Deichmann,
there’s been a real buzz throughout the centre and across social media, and I’m thrilled to
keep up that momentum with this news.
“Across the UK, the following for American sports is growing at an exponential rate, and we’re
delighted to be providing somewhere for those avid fans to indulge in their passion. Both
LIDS and Deichmann will soon be preparing to open their doors in the centre, and I can say
with confidence that this is the start of an exciting period for everyone at The Potteries
Centre, with plenty more news to come.”
Stay tuned for the opening date of the store!
