The Study Room
Open from the 10th March at 3pm, and located on the lower mall, the Study Room is a free service that will provide students with the essential amenities to study in a communal space, beyond their campus, while combining the convenience of the centre’s cafés, eateries and shops.
The new space, as voted for by followers of The Potteries Centre social media accounts, will include dedicated study desks, comfortable bean bags and charging points for up to 12 students.
Amy Whittaker, General manager of The Potteries Centre, said:
“At The Potteries Centre, we’re always on the look-out for ways we can add more value to our visitors of all ages and the launch of our new Study Room is just one way we’re doing that.
“We asked students to vote for what features they’d most like to see within the new space. We’ve listened to all their suggestions, and the resulting Study Room is one that puts students and their needs centre stage. It’s equipped with all the necessary facilities they asked for, and will be an inviting and inspiring space for all students to use for revision, research and completing coursework, whenever they want – no booking necessary.
“Study Room users will also have easy access to a range of fantastic places to eat and drink during their study break, including Nando’s and Chiquito at The Hive as well as Costa and Starbucks. Or, for those looking to combine study time with some downtime with friends, we have a range of popular high street retailers such as River Island and Primark within easy reach, giving Staffordshire students even more reason to head to The Potteries Centre for their next study session.”
The Study Room can be used during general centre opening times:
● Monday – Wednesday 9am-6pm;
● Thursday 9am-8pm;
● Friday – Saturday 9am-6pm;
● Sunday 10.30am-4.30pm.
