February half term
This February, The Potteries Centre is celebrating love, whether you’re a Valentine or Galentine, in all its forms with a packed schedule of heart-warming events and activities available to the local community as well as an array of shops offering the perfect gifts for loved ones.
With something for everyone, families and couples alike can enjoy the opportunity to do a bit of shopping, get creative, make memories, and support a fantastic cause.
Visitors can purchase a padlock from Clintons on level 5, personalise it with their initials, and secure it to the bespoke fence, located by Clintons on level 5 as a symbol of their love. All proceeds from the sale of the locks will go directly to the centre’s February charity partner, Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY), helping to support their vital work in raising awareness and preventing sudden cardiac deaths in young people.
As part of the Centenary year and in honour of the history of pottery in Stoke-on-Trent, the centre is also teaming up with Love Clay, offering families a chance to unleash their creativity during the half term:
Monday 17th, Wednesday 19th and Friday 21st February 11am to 4pm
Families can join Love Clay with sessions on hand building with air drying clay to take home.
Tuesday 18th & Thursday 20th February 11am to 4pm
Families can paint a porcelain pot, fill it with soil and add a plant to take home.
Younger visitors can also get involved with the kiln colouring sheets which, on completion, will be displayed in a shop window.
Visitors can also take a selfie in our Valentine’s themed selfie bench on level 5.
